Terms and Conditions
Below you will find useful information when using online booking. You can read about how your entered information is processed, how to receive your receipt in connection with a purchase etc. Below VIKÆR is used as a synonym for Vikær Strand Camping.
Payment
All prices in VIKÆR online booking system are, like all other places on the website, listed in Danish kroner including VAT and all taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is made by using one of the accepted debit / credit cards in online booking, including Dankort, Visa, Mastercard and Diners.
Information about online booking
You can safely book and shop on the internet through our online booking system. As a consumer, you are secured against potential misuse of your credit card online, so there is no self-risk in case of abuse of your payment card over the internet. Shipping and delivery
When booking and paying a cabin, a tent pitch and a pitch for a caravan, you will receive a contract from VIKÆR, which contains the details of your purchase. The contract can be printed from the website after completing the booking. It will also be sent by e-mail immediately after the purchase, if the correct e-mail address is given. Delivery of the ordered product takes place on arrival at VIKÆR on the day of arrival (and ends on departure on the day of departure). Both of these times are stated in the above contract.
Camping check in from 14:00 – 21:00. Cabin check in from 15:00 – 21:00.
Right of withdrawal and refund
You have the option of choosing Basis, Flex or Premium terms. The choice must be made at the time of booking. It will not be possible to switch to another service after the payment. Changing a booking means cancellation, change of accommodation type or the dates of your stay. You are off course always welcome to add more guests to the booking or other additional purchases without having to pay an administration fee. Please note that Flex and Premium terms are dynamic services which is calculated according to the total amount of your stay.
Basis: Non refundable. With basic terms, you do not have the opportunity to rebook, cancel or get a refund of your booking.
Premium: With Premium Terms you can change the booking and cancel up until 12:00 noon 2 days upon arrival. Please note that there is an administration fee of DKK 249 per change/cancellation, per booking. The price for Premium terms is not refundable in case of change in booking or cancellation.
Prepaid stays are not refunded in case of departure before planned.
A deposit/first installment of the payment (for example for a seasonal place) is not refunded in the event of cancellation at any time.
Right of withdrawal
We point out that your booking is not covered by the Consumer Contracts Act’s rules on the right of cancellation. The sale of overnight accommodation (cabins, holiday homes, camping etc.) is covered by a special exception provision in the Consumer Contracts Act prgf 18 subsection 2 no. 12. The booking made is therefore not covered by a 14-day right of cancellation.
Force majeure
Registration of information
VIKÆR registers your name, address, e-mail, and other information given in connection with the booking. The information is not disclosed, but VIKÆR keeps the registration for 5 years. VIKÆR uses server-side cookies and a secure connection to create security about the information you provide on the page. When paying by credit card, registration takes place via a secure server where the information is encrypted before being sent over the Internet.
Complaints Processing
For any reason, if you do not receive your contract confirming your purchase and you have not received an error message from the system, you can write to the below address.
Complaints about the booking process, the booking or the product (the stay) must be made within a reasonable time after you have discovered the error. You can complain in writing or orally. One year after the stay, the right to complain ends due to § 83 part 1 of the Danish Purchasing law unless otherwise agreed.
When VIKÆR receives your complaint about an item, the complaint will be processed as soon as possible. VIKÆR will decide whether the item received is to be refunded, exchanged or whether price reductions are to be given.
